Hello!

Welcome to the personal website of Elizabeth M. Diessner! Friends call me Liz 🙂

I am currently a graduate student working towards my Ph.D. in Chemical, Applied, and Material Physics at UC Irvine. My research focuses on using network analysis, statistical and quantum mechanics, and machine learning to model the structure and dynamics of proteins and protein interactions.

My interests are all over the place, but orbit one main idea: understanding how individual parts come together to define the observable properties of the whole.
